Welcome to Boyoma Sanctuary, an island in the middle of the Congo River near Kisangani in the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo), where stressed chimpanzees, orphaned or injured, will be able to find the care and medical help they need to recover and live.
Please look around the site and click on the map, below, which will lead you to photographs and videos of our team, building access roads, training the local villagers, planning an infirmary for the chimps and constructing a school and first aid and other facilities for villagers in the area.
